27. What I hate about myself.
I honestly don’t hate anything about myself. I make silly mistakes sometimes, but I always have the best of intentions. I wish I weren’t so shy and conservative at times, and I am certainly a workaholic with a tendency to be blunt with strangers, and socially awkward in general. I don’t think those are things that I necessarily “hate” about myself though.
30. Someone I miss.
My best friend Sydney Jones, my biological family, my dear friend Matthew, all my homies in California…GOOD NEWS IM SEEING THEM ALL IN 4 DAYS WHOO!!!!
Anonymous asked: you are like my idol now, not in a creepy way just how you represent yourself. you seem strong :) and i admire it.
Wow, thank you so much! Inspiring others to find the same strength that I have is something that means a lot to me :)
Anonymous asked: where do you get most of your fabulous clothing???
Oh come on, I just answered this the other day! Betsey Johnson, Fred Perry, Brooklyn Flea, Artists and Fleas, The Family Jewels, Urban Jungle, Barbara Feinman, Kate Spade, What Comes Around Goes Around, Agent Provocateur, Prada, Black Fleece, Ralph Lauren, Miu Miu, Fabulous Fannies, Chelsea Garage, and so many more. A lot of these are only in NYC, but I hope this helps!
chaotic-patterns asked: So I've been following your blog for a while now and your confidence and life fascinate me. I'm totally lacking in the confidence department as my boyfriend of four and a half years and I just broke up. Any inspiring single lady things I could do to get my mind off of all the shit that's been going on? I want more determination and independence with my life, and you set a great example of that.
I can’t really relate to your situation, as I have never been in a long-term relationship. However, I can tell you that I fully believe that confidence comes from within, and that you need to love yourself before you try to love anyone else. Girls who need boyfriends to feel good about themselves have no grasp on what it really means to be self-confident. A boy should be the icing on the cake, not a missing ingredient, get me?
I love being single at my current age. I rely on no one, and no one relies on me. I don’t have the time right now for a partner-I would never get to see them! I’m just too busy. I have a large network of friends and business partners who I love, and I am inspired by my work, and the amount of opportunities coming my way. I fully believe that the reason I have reached the level of success that I have at 21 years old is because I have never bothered with a relationship. I see them as a waste of time for most young people. Forget about your boyfriend, and start becoming your ideal self, and creating your ideal life situation. You don’t have anyone taking up your time or emotional energy anymore, so now it’s time to just do you! You’ll eventually be completely happy with yourself on your own, and attract the kind of people who you really want in your life :)
jedetesteelizaethsaige asked: you have inspired me with the whole vegan/sober thing. but if you don't mind me asking. why did you choose to live a vegan/sober lifestyle?
I never really “chose” any sort of lifestyle…I just have never been interested in alcohol or drugs or anything, so I never used them. I identified as straight edge for several years, but eventually realized that I was just straight edge by default, and found the scene very distasteful. So now I just identify as a lifelong “sober” individual.
Veganism on the other hand, has always much more important to me. I have been vegetarian since I was 13, simply because I didn’t like the taste of meat, and I was disturbed by the idea of eating flesh. When I was 15, I learned more about factory farming, animal testing, etc. from older punks who I looked up to that I met at shows in my hometown in CA, and lots of independent research. I realized that being vegetarian is half-assed, and cannot even be considered a legitimate effort in taking a political stance on animal rights. When I was old enough to get a job and buy my own groceries (shortly before I turned 16), I made the switch to veganism, and I have not looked back. If you truly care about animal rights, the environment, and/or not poisoning your body with hormones, you will eat vegan. There is no grey area; you’re vegan, or you’re not.
Anonymous asked: How long does it take you to get through your morning routine? I really admire that you are always so put together and said you wake up and shower and do your hair every day. I get so lazy when I don't have work or school and I hate feeling frumpy.
Thanks! I do indeed never leave the house without a full face of makeup, my hair done, and dressed nicely, even if it is just to go to the store or to school. Getting ready takes me about 45 minutes. I don’t take showers-only baths. I wake up, put my hair in hot rollers, take a bath, do my makeup, get dressed, unroll and style my hair, and then I’m ready to go! I am able to pull myself together so quickly because I have been doing my hair and makeup this way for about 6 years :)
Anonymous asked: Just wondering, are you a political or religious person?
Anarchist/Atheist
Anonymous asked: do you wear a corset everyday? or do you do any corset training? you have a fantastically beautiful voluptuous body.
Nope, only for photo shoots and sessions-I am naturally just very curvy. I have never tried corset training…I actually don’t know very much about it at all. However, my friend Kelly (kellymckuntqueen.tumblr.com) is the queen! She has been corset training for years and is very knowledgeable about waist training and body modification in general, so I would ask her! She is really sweet and awesome and would probably be glad to answer your questions about it.
Anonymous asked: When did you start dying your hair black? Do you love the look too much to ever change it?
I started dyeing it black when I was 15! Yes, I love it, and don’t plan on ever changing it.
Anonymous asked: How long have you been vegan/vegetarian and what's your favorite meal?
I have been a strict vegan for a little over 5 years, and was vegetarian for 3 years before that. My favorite thing to eat is gigantic burritos with horchata.
Anonymous asked: Why and how do you think you've come to make so much more than the majority of domes? You've said before having tattoos has made it harder but why do you think you've become so successful - the top 1% financially as you said?
This question is nearly impossible to answer, because if there was an exact formula for how to be successful as a sex worker, a lot more people would be doing this. Most of the girls who ask me for advice on how to be a Domme totally fail at it, and it blows my mind. Billions of girls are beautiful and intelligent, but what I’ve realized is, few can be really good at this. So, if I had to guess, I would say my success is due to my work ethic, as basic as that sounds. Most sex workers are not skilled at managing the business end of their careers, rely on others to promote them and manage their clients, websites, and broadcasting-I do all of these things myself. Most are also terrible at managing their finances, and are, well, lazy as fuck. I am the opposite. I invest in my business to constantly produce better quality work. I am also extremely versatile in my style of sessions, and a skilled saleswoman. I am a chameleon when it comes to my demeanor in session, and I consistently deliver quality experiences and material to my clients. Physically, I have a look that is widely fetishized and considered ideal-extremely curvy, voluptuous, classic features, conventionally attractive-aside from my tattoos, I maintain an appearance which largely appeals to an older generation. I make use of email marketing and social networking to keep my clients up to date with my daily schedule, travel dates, and new work. I follow up with clients post-session-I don’t just wait around for them to hit me up. I don’t slack off-I devote a minimum of 40 hours a week to my work; in the first year that this was my full time job I would put in at least 10 hours a day, and I literally worked 7 days a week (seriously, ask my friends, they didn’t see me for the majority of the year 2011 lol). I didn’t go into this expecting quick money, or thinking it would be easy, which are commonly made mistakes in this business. This job is certainly not glamorous for a long time, and few break through that building phase-it took me two years of grinding and hustling my ass off to get to the point I am at now. In my experience, few people are willing to work that hard at this. My job is not in easy-anyone who is self employed and works 100% on commission can relate. However, if you are business savvy, skilled at clienting, maintain a consistent appearance, and are willing to really bust your ass, you will be successful.
Anonymous asked: What motivated you to move from incall jobs to cam work? This is rude, or ignorant or both, but I can't see how it could be better financially.
It is indeed a pretty ignorant statement, but only about 1% of webcam sex workers earn my level of income, so I can see where you are coming from. Let me put things in perspective:
-working in a dungeon, I am available to the population of New York City
-working online on webcam, I am available to the population of THE ENTIRE WORLD
Plus, I work from my apartment, so I don’t have to pay per hour for my space. Even independent dommes have to pay a dungeon fee, unless they own their own space. I make more in one night on webcam than most dungeon dommes do in a week. So yeah, money was the main motivator in me doing webcam full time. I also sort of hate dealing with people, so working alone in my home is just more appealing in every way.
Anonymous asked: You hang out with such handsome friendssss don't you ever develop crushes on any guy friends?
Aren’t they such handsome princes? Nooo way, I’ve never crushed on any of them though, and vice versa…most of my male friends see me as a little sister, and I see them as brothers. I am much more old fashioned and looking for completely different things in life than most of my male friends, and we’re just not each other’s type at all. Sooo while they think I am beautiful and I find them to be handsome, it’s just not like that!
Anonymous asked: How long do you think is a good time to date a guy before having sex?
I’m pretty conservative…I usually don’t even kiss until the 3rd date or so. It sort of depends on the situation though…I think the soonest I’ve slept with someone I’m seeing was the 5th date? I’m probably the worst person the ask…maybe ask someone who dates/has sex more than once a year lolz!
Anonymous asked: What kind of music do you listen to?
I suppose it’s a pretty even mixture of 1950’s/60’s country, punk rock, and Morrissey. Some of my favorites are Johnny Cash, Hank Williams, Patsy Cline, Smokey Robinson and the Miracles, Bobby Vinton, The Clash, Black Flag, Cocksparrer, Crass, The Germs…I could go on forevs!
